Most of you who know me, know that I have been wanting a small puppy- less than 25 pounds for about 5 years. However my husband wanted a bigger dog - over 35 pounds. My husband and I unfortunately couldn't reach an agreement on a puppy's size so my family suffered the consequences.- no dog for our family
Last week we were so distraught about not having any dog, we did some research on the internet and found a solution to our dilemna. We found a nonshedding family dog that would grow to approximately 30 pounds( a little larger than I wanted and a little smaller than what my husband wanted. )
Of course as a real estate agent who works hard negotiating every detail, of every contract I can't believe this compromise didn't come sooner than it did. If I can negotiate expensive dream homes for my clients, it seems ironic that it took 5 years for my husband and I to agree on the perfect breed for our family.
After driving 5 hours to Burlington Iowa and then back 5 hours in one day to pick the cutest dog from the perfect breed, my husband and I surprised our 3 boys. They thought that we were tricking them when they saw us unload the dog from our car. They didn't believe it was our dog- and they thought we were just babysitting another dog for the day. Our boys were so excited about our newest family addition. We all agreed to name this cute dog Cosmo since of course we are Seinfeld addicts.
What do you think? Was it worth the wait? Isn't Cosmo cute?
If you are looking for a mini goldendoodle, give me a call and I can put you in touch with the breeder.
