Wauconda Dog Park- Lake County Doodle Romp
All summer long I have attempted to bring my Mini Golden Doodle, Cosmo to the Northern Illinois Doodle Romp held at the Wauconda dog park. For one reason or another, there was always a reason that I was unable to attend. Today I finally made it and it was great . Just ask Cosmo!
You might ask me what is a Doodle Romp and that is a very good question. A doodle romp is where Doodles, all types, get together, socialize, run withourt a leash, and have the best time of their lives. The doodles and their owners even attempt to take a short walk.
When: The Lake County Doodle Romp is held the last weekend of each month, alternating Saturdays (even months) and Sundays (odd months).

Where: The place: Lakewood dog park in Wauconda (part of Lake County Forest Preserve), located on Fairfield Road, just north of 176. The 68-acre area is entirely fenced and features large open meadows, training enclosures and toilets.
A permit is required to access this Dog Exercise Area. Annual or daily permits are available. The annual permit allows access to all four Lake County Forest Preserve Dog Exercise Areas. Daily permits can be purchased at a self-pay station located in the parking lot at each Dog Exercise Area.
What Else: Bring Water for your dog and close the gate behind you... Cosmo wants to meet you on October 30th!
