Stevenson High School District 125 located in Lincolnshire Illinois had a heated election today. 

The results have just been posted and it appears that the Members of the Board of Education are staying the same with an added member, David Weisberg 

The winners of the election are Terry Moons, Bruce Lubin, Merv Roberts and David Weisberg.

Adlai E. Stevenson High School (AESHS), commonly called Stevenson High School (SHS), is a public four-year high school located near the corner of Milwaukee Avenue and Half Day Road in Lincolnshire, Illinois, a northern suburb of Chicago.

During the 1986-87, 1990-91, 1997-98 and 2001-02 school years, Stevenson High School was recognized with the Blue Ribbon School Award of Excellence by the United States Department of Education, the highest award an American school can receive.

Why am I so interested in the Stevenson High school Patriots..?

I am the mother of 3 wonderful boys... My oldest goes to Stevenson High School and my two younger ones are twins and they attend Woodlawn Junior High in Long Grove.    I attend all of  their baseball games, their soccer games and their basketball games.    I support them in everything they do...   

This year one of my sons made the Woodlawn Junior High( a Stevenson High School feeder school) basketball team, and to me the highlights of the game were  watching my son make a basket and watching  the 7^th grade cheerleaders perform their routines during half time.  Don't tell my son about my  interest in the cheerleaders. 

The 7^thgrade cheerleaders made me smile.   They were energetic, happy, looked like they were having a great time, and made everyone in the audience put a grin on their face at the end of a long day.    These cheerleaders will be going to Stevenson High school in 2 years and they will have the benefit of a great academic life as well the opportunity to  partake in many  extracurricular activities, ie the Patriettes.

Being a Patriette at Stevenson High School requires a large time commitment to a busy athletic schedule as well as regional and state competitions. The Patriettes practice 3-4 times weekly and perform at all home football and basketball games

This year Stevenson High School's Varsity Patriettes recently brought home three first place trophies from the Team Dance Illinois completion January 11 at Tinley Park High School. During the completion the team placed first in kick, open dance and won the prestigious technical award.    Congratulations to the entire team.
