Many of us as parents of Stevenson High School students, members of the Stevenson High School Community, and newcomers considering moving to the Stevenson High School area are not aware of the wonderful and diverse programs Stevenson High School provides for their Students.
Next Week, Stevenson High School is presenting the World of Difference, an Annual program for Stevenson High School Freshman. A World of Difference, an anit-bias/ diversity education program will take place at Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire Illinois on April 27th and 28th. The event begins in Stevenson's Performing Art Center with guest speaker Justin Boudreau. owner of Gear up for Excellence. Boudreau's speech is presented to encourage student exploration of prejudicial circumstances. Stevenson High School's faculty has been trained to lead small group discussions following the presentation. 
Senior Stevenson students who are part of the Freshman Mentor Program will participate alongside their advisories. Advisories have completed Social Emotional Learning (SEL) activities such as: The History Behind Your Name, Sherlock Holmes Bingo and ABC video footage in preparation for the upcoming event.
The goal of this special 2 day program at Stevenson High School is to promote critical thinking, to examine view points and to challenge yourself to be a leader. A World of Difference is mandatory for all Freshmen on the afternoon of the Prairie State Exams.
