Wheeling,Illinois has had tremendous economic and population growth in the last few years.   The number of businesses in Wheeling has also more than doubled since 1981.

Business commuters who work in Chicago find the town of  Wheeling very convenient.  They can either use the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) or Edens Expressway (I-94) and those who don't want to hassle with driving can relax on the train.  Commuters can take the train from Northbrook, Deerfield or Mount Prospect.

Wheeling Illinois offers a convenient location near Golf Mill, Randhurst, Hawthorne Center, and Northbrook Court regional shopping malls but also offers a selection of retail centers locally.   Wheeling is also minutes from Ravinia Festival, Chicago Botanic Gardens, award-winning restaurants and premier shopping. Those who relish fine cuisine are still drawn to restaurant row in Wheeling which was a famous rest stop for travelers between Milwaukee and Chicago more than 150 years ago.  Bob Chinn Crab House, Bucca De Beppo, Claim Jumpers, as well as one of my new favorite restaurant Coopers Hawk is also located in Wheeling.

Wheeling is also the home of the Westin Chicago North Shore, a full service elegant hotel. Presently this luxury hotel in Wheeling  features two award-winning dining establishments: Tramonto's Steak & Seafood, a three meal restaurant featuring specially cut steaks and fresh seafood preparations and RT Lounge, a stylish lounge serving small plates of oysters, shrimp and other ‘crudos.' 

Schools are one of the most important considerations in determining where your family will ultimately move.   

Community Consolidated School District 21 and Prospect Heights School District 23 serve the Village of Wheeling for elementary and junior High school. Wheeling's secondary education students attend Township High School District 214's Wheeling and Buffalo Grove High Schools

Park Districts The park district offers nearly 150 acres of picturesque recreational land filled with facilities and activities including tennis, swimming, soccer, baseball, golf, and year-round programs. The Wheeling Aquatic Center is one of the most premier water parks in Illinois.  When my 3 boys were younger, I spent many hours of enjoyment at this wonderful aquatic center.
