Blizzard 2011-Stevenson High School Students and their dads know how to have fun

Blizzard 2011 - Long Grove and Buffalo Grove residents know how to have fun in the snow!    Stevenson High School and all the surrounding Buffalo Grove and Long Grove schools have closed for two consecutive days.

Almost everything was closed duringBlizzard 2011 the Blizzard of 2011 on February 2nd- including banks, schools, and business.  Residents of many Chicago Suburbs were advised to stay off the roads and leave the open for emergency vehicles.  With no vehicles on the streets, these High School boys from Long Grove took advantage of the plowed streets and slid down the roads tied to autos driven by their fathers.

Dogs also had a great day....Although my dog was a little hesitant at first to brave the snow, he ended up loving it.Cosmo in the snow...

Just like I remember the Blizzard of 1967, I'm sure that my boys and their friends will always remember the fun times they had in the Blizzard of 2011.

So funny - my hsband did the same thing with our boys but they had their snowboards on :).  Highland Park schools are closed for two days too.

I suppose your excuse was that you had to take the photos! I drove into Barrington yesterday, it was like a ghost town, quieter than Christmas.
