One on one Support Group for Cancer Fighters- Cancer Survivors Pay it Forward!

I was talking to a business associate of mine, Jeff Fishman, about the concept  paying it forward, and expressed how I wanted to help cancer fighters.   Since I am a Uterine Cancer survivor ( 9 years), and still remember this particular hard time of my life, I thought that maybe I could pay it forward and help support other Uterine Cancer patients who are presently experiencing what I had to go through 9 years ago.

Jeff suggested  I join Imerman Angels , a group that provides  one-on-one relationships to a cancer fighter and a chance for them to ask personal questions t and get support from the survivor who is uniquely familiar with their experience.   I researched this not for profit organization  and thought that joining this organization would be a perfect match for what I wanted to do... When I called to join the organization, the founder of the organization Jonny Imerman called me back within the hour to learn more about me to put in their database for a future match.

Why is this organization different than any other support group you might be asking? The Imerman Angels takes the specifics into consideration, and pairs two people with the same circumstances for a one-on - one relationship free of cost...One survivor with one fighter! Although Imerman Angels foundation is located in Chicago, it will pair up cancer fighters and cancer survivors all over the United States

If you want more information regarding this unbelievable organization, you can give me a call  at 847-602-5435, email me at info@buffalogrovehomes.com or check out the Imerman Angels website.

Thanks Tony,  I have always wanted to give back, since during my cancer stint, I had a wonderful support system including my husband and many many friends.   I saw many people come for treatment by themselves.  Its probably the hardest time in someone's life

Judy,
What a wonderful thing for you to do and I know you will make a big difference in someone's life.  I cannot imagine being alone at a time like that--everyone deserves a shoulder to lean on.

Judy... The support offered through a program like this is huge.  Although I have never been stricken with any form  of cancer I imagine I'd be filled with anger, fear and have a million questions that only a person who'd been in a similar situation could understand.

Judy - Good job making people aware of the Imerman Angels Group. It is tough when you know someone who has suffered with cancer. We all know a few. Programs like this are invaluable.

Cynthia, Dan and Bill- I hope all of you are having a great day!  I love reading all of your posts and learn from each and everyone of you.

When I had cancer, I had a great support group, neighbors, friends, and family, but one concern of mine  was what would happen to me in 3 years, 5 years, 7 years etc.  I hope that I can show people who have my kind of cancer, that they will be just fine!
