Kildeer Countryside School District 96 is an elementary school district covering approximately 20 square miles in southern Lake County, Illinois.  District 96 includes portions of Buffalo Grove, Hawthorn Woods, Kildeer,  Long Grove, Vernon Hills, and Lake Zurich. The Middle School students who attend school in District 96 feed into Stevenson High School 125. 

Kildeer Countryside School  District 96 students' performance on the Illinois Standards Achievement Test (ISAT) has been consistently strong. For example, 98.3% of District third graders and 97.4% of District fifth graders met or exceeded Illinois learning standards in mathematics and 94.1% of District fourth graders and 96.6% of District seventh graders met or exceeded state standards in science.

In the past few years, Twin Groves Middle School, Ivy Hall Elementary School and Woodlawn Middle School have  all earned national Blue Ribbon recognition from the U.S. Department of Education. All four District 96 elementary schools-Country Meadows, Ivy Hall, Kildeer, and Prairie were recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education for 2009 Academic Excellence.Woodlawn Blue Ribbon award

Willow Grove Kindergarten Center  Every Kindergarten student in District 96 attends the Willow Grove Kindergarten Center.  The school is located at 777 Checker in Buffalo Grove, Illinois.  

Prairie Elementary School  Prairie Elementary School is located at 1530 Brandywyn Lane in Buffalo Grove, Illinois.  Prairie is one of the 4 elementary schools in District 96 that serve grades 1-5.  Students who attend Prairie feed into Twin Groves Middle School.

Ivy Hall Elementary School   Ivy Hall Elementary School is located at 1072 Ivy Hall in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, Ivy Hall is one of the 4 elementary schools in District 96 that serve grades 1-5.  Students who attend Ivy Hall feed into Twin Groves Middle School.

Country Meadows Elementary School  Country Meadows Elementary School is located at 6360 Gilmer Road in Long Grove.  Country Meadows is one of 4 elementary schools in District 96 that serve grades 1-5.  Students who attend Country Meadows Elementary School feed into Woodlawn Middle School.  Country Meadows and Woodlawn Middle School are actually adjacent to each other

Kildeer Elementary School  Kildeer Elementary School is located at 3100 Old Mchenry in the heart of downtown Long Grove.  Kildeer is one of 4 elementary schools in District 96 that serve grades 1-5.  Students who attend Kildeer Elementary School feed into Woodlawn Middle School

Twin Groves Middle School  Twin Groves Middle School is located at 2600 N. Buffalo Grove  Road in Buffalo Grove. Twin Groves and Woodlawn together serve the 6-8th graders in District 96. Prairie And Ivy Hall feed into this school

Woodlawn Middle School is located at 6362 Gilmer Road in Long Grove.  Woodlawn and Twin Groves together serve the 6-8th graders in District 96.   Country Meadows and Kildeer Elementary School feed into this school.
